How often is this the story of motherhood? We are all ready to storm the castle gates and get things done when, wait what was that? Oh yes the screeching of a tiny infant, wailing of a tiny two, the chattering of a curious five or the eye rolling of an independant teen. If you are a mom of any age, too any age, you have been there. That is precisely the point of this blog. Too rip off the veil of "perfection" and pretty smiles to reveal the reality of motherhood. Too say "I AM A CRAZY MESS OF A WOMAN AND I AM PROUD!!" Too be honest with the reality that all of us have sat in a corner crying, hiding and plugging our ears whispering "Lord if they don't stop I will do something crazy." This is a place to be encouraged that we all have had bad days but oh boy do we have incredible days! We have victories that we never imagined we would have and failures that ruined us. Please join me on this journey called motherhood. Let's join our mom forces and encourage one another to be perfectly imperfect, working torward one common goal of raising a tiny human into a respectable adult.
Let me tell you a little about myself before we go diving into the crazy pool of momness together. I am 25. I have two hilarious boys, Aiden 5 and Cole 4 months. I have been with my husband 9 years and will celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary in June. I am quite confident without my husband I would be in a padded room somewhere!
My mom is the definition of a super mom. I am the oldest of eight children and grew up in a christian home and was also homeschooled. I know you all just smirked a little and probably think I am wearing a long skirt and haven't cut my hair in my entire life, and to that I say "HHHAA!" Not that that is a bad thing it is just not at all what my life looked like. Yes, we all love Jesus but our tattoos, skinny jeans and sarcastic humor just don't scream homeschooled. My mom raised us to love God, each other and other people. If I can be half the mother mine was and is I will be happy!!
Well I am excited to begin sharing my crazy life with all of you! Feel free to comment on topics you would like to hear talked about.
